"Leave the JKUSO Constitution to the Students", JKUAT Comrades tells the Admin.

Jommo Kenyatta University Student's Organization is in the process of drafting a new constitution. But things seems not to be well with the Comrades about the Constitution, as most of the Comrades have expressed their  feelings as to why the document has not been to the Students who according to the law, 65% of the Students should agree with the draft Constitution before its implemented.

JKUAT students including some of the JKUSO members have been high  in criticizing the draft constitution which they claims that it curtains their democracy and right to leadership. The group was headed by one Abdi Siyaro, who is aspiring for the Presidential post in the forthcoming JKUSO elections.

Abdi Siyaro criticized the current JKUSO chairmain and the Secretary general for drafting the constitution without Student's involvement. He criticized Marende (Secretary General) for drafting the constitution so as to favour his personal political interests in the forthcoming February elections.

With the support of  "Comrades" Abdi Siyaro collected 1000 signatures to file a petition that was to prevent the draft constitution from being implemented. Things seemed to have gone well with his mission as he posted on Comrade's Facebook group, JKUAT-JKUSO MOVEMENT, that he has successfully filed a petition which has brought the implementation of the constitution to a stand-still.

 Most Comrades claim that the Adminstration wants to use the document to curtail the democratic rights of the Students so as to fix in there on moles and puppets to the Students' Union.
Here are some of the Comrade's angry response to the draft constitution;
